Group 'C' (Level 2)	Level 2	Passed 12th (+2 stage) from recognized board or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (50% marks are not to be insisted upon in case of SC / ST / Ex-servicemen for NTPC categories and to those candidates who possesses higher qualification such as graduation/Post graduation) OR Passed Matriculation from recognized board plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship for Technician categories OR Passed Matriculation from recognized board plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT for technician categories. Scouting Qualification: a) A President Scouts/Guide/ Rover/Ranger OR Himalaya Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section. b) Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 5 years. c) Should have attended two events at National Level OR All Indian Railway's level and Two Events at State level.	5
Group 'D' (Erstwhile) (Level 1)	Level 1	10th passed + National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT OR 10th pass + ITI OR 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate(NAC) granted by NCVT. Scouting Qualification: a) A President Scouts/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalaya Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section. b) Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 5 years. c) Should have attended two events at National level OR All Indian Railway's level and Two events at State level.	22

Upper age relaxation: SC/ST +5 years, OBC (non-creamy layer) +3 years, PwBD and others as per the notice; only the highest one applies
Posts are open to all communities and there is no reservation for any communities. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories will be extended relaxation in age limit as admissible in general open market recruitment.
